The Art of Banksy at the NDSM Loods

This experience takes you into the raw and challenging world of British street artist Banksy. With over 200 works – including certified originals – the exhibition brings a surprising mix of art, prints, photographs, sculptures, murals, video projections and interactive installations. This is more than a museum visit: it is an experience.

Visitors enter a world where Banksy's work can not only be seen, but also experienced. The exhibition shows original works and detailed reproductions, made with the artist's characteristic stencil technique. In addition to photographs, sculptures and murals, there are interactive elements such as an infinity mirror room and a hologram installation. A documentary provides context for his work and takes a look at the thinking of the anonymous artist, without completely unravelling the mystery. This has been specially put together to provide an in-depth and educational insight into the artist's world. Works such as Flower Thrower and Kissing Coppers, installations from the satirical Dismaland and the sculpture Phone Booth come into their own even more in this environment. Everything contributes to a visually and substantively impressive total experience.

In addition, there is a special space dedicated to Banksy's work on current themes such as migration and conflict, including a confrontational installation about Ukraine. Visitors can also contribute creatively by spraying their own T-shirt; the proceeds (€2 donation per T-shirt) go to the organization MV Louise Michel.
