In Unfolded Voices, the stories behind the dress become audible. With newly composed music, video, and personal testimonies from different parts of the world, you experience a narrative of freedom, restriction, resistance, and hope. All the experiences that were hidden in the dress for years are given a voice here.

Surrounded by perspectives

The installation transforms Studio Boekman into a spatial experience where you can walk freely amidst sound, image, and stories. Individual voices combine to form a soundscape that invites you to listen and reflect on the human stories behind legislation and politics.

Pay what you can

For this project, we work with the Pay What You Can principle: when ordering a ticket, you choose a suitable amount yourself. This can be a regular ticket (€7.50), a free ticket, or a contribution to cover the cost of a ticket for someone else (€15).

The standard price of €7.50 is easy for some to spare, but for others, it is a reason not to come. In this way, people who can afford to pay more make it possible for someone else to pay less or nothing.
