Musical adventure full of daring and imagination
Lennox knows his father is sick, but no one tells him what is going on. When his father forgets to take his lucky necklace to the hospital one day, Lennox decides to follow him, together with his best friend. What follows is an energetic hip-hop opera about family, friendship, and daring to do things.

Maarten van Hinte wrote a poetic and contemporary libretto about the young Lennox's quest. The direction is by Marjorie Boston . A dynamic and exciting performance for everyone!
Based on the award-winning book
Writer Zindzi Zevenbergen received the Silver Pencil in 2022 for her book about sickle cell disease, a blood disorder that primarily affects people with West African roots. Illustrators Hedy Tjin and Brian Elstak won a Silver Brush. Their dynamic illustrations form an important visual source of inspiration for this presentation.
Opera with soul
Maarten van Hinte wrote a poetic and contemporary opera libretto about the young Lennox's quest. Multi-instrumentalist and producer Bnnyhunna (Benjamin Ankomah) makes his opera debut with Lennox . In his composition, jazz, gospel, afro, soul, and classical music come together in an energetic and colorful story. Director Marjorie Boston forges all these elements into an adventurous performance.
