Activities and atmosphere

The tulip-picking garden is very popular, so make sure to join the queue on time. The average waiting time is 60 minutes. While you wait, a dweilorkest (traditional Dutch brass band) will provide a lively atmosphere with typical Dutch songs like Tulpen uit Amsterdam (Tulips from Amsterdam). You can also view the garden’s size from the footbridge.

A celebration by tulip growers

National Tulip Day is organised by Dutch tulip growers, united under Tulpen Promotie Nederland (Tulip Promotion Netherlands). These growers voluntarily ensure the tulip festival’s success. You’ll recognise the volunteers by their orange jackets.

Tulip picking garden rules

The tulip party is a party for everyone

1. Pick your own bouquet of tulips (maximum of 10 stems), so that many more people, just like you, can enjoy this moment and have their own little bundle of spring happiness!
2. Take good care of yourself and your belongings; you are responsible for them
3. Use the biodegradable tulip bag for your tulips
4. Do not bring your own shopping bag into the pick-your-own garden
5. Photos will be taken in the garden
6. Be careful with the sharp pins in the crates
