Enriched with images and sound
In the run-up to 2019, the 350th anniversary of the artist's death, the Amsterdam City Archives brings together an array of documents about Rembrandt that show his art in a new way. Images and sound form the basis of an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) experience that makes accessible original documents and illustrates works of art from the Rijksmuseum and the Rembrandt House Museum's collections.
The AR experience gives people voices and animates figures, a unique format that allows the viewer to get to know Rembrandt up-close and personal. The Private World of Rembrandt presents a surprising and intimate picture of his life. Rembrandt enthusiasts will not want to miss this fascinating exhibition.
