The Edams Museum is located in two historic buildings on the Damplein in Edam: the City Hall and a former merchant's house dating from 1540.
When you walk into the merchant’s house, you’ll feel like you’ve entered the Golden Age! Much of the décor looks exactly as it did in the 17th century, complete with
a magnificent collection of authentic furnishings. The house is a museum in itself, famous for its floating cellar.
