The Edam Museum is located in two historic buildings on the Damplein in Edam: the town hall and a former merchant’s home dating from 1540.
About the history of Edam and more
In this museum you will learn everything about the history of Edam, from shipbuilding, architecture and notable families to everyday life. This museum is best known abroad for its floating cellar. This cellar floats on the groundwater and thus moves up and down. It is quite an experience!
