Roelof Hartplein Branch Amsterdam Public Library (OBA Roelof Hartplein)
The Roelof Hartplein branch of the Amsterdam Public Library is located near the city’s top museums and Concertgebouw. In the library’s historic building, visitors will find a good selection of children’s books and a wide selection of library materials for adults. The library is equipped with study areas, an elevator and a coffee shop.
The branch is the site of a monthly panel discussion called 'Gesprek van het Hart' (speaking from the heart) that takes place every third Thursday of the month. Host Jos Palm talks to well-known Amsterdammers and regular city residents about what makes their hearts beat faster in the world of art, culture and literature. The pre-show starts at 17:00 and the show begins at 18:00.
