De Hallen Branch Amsterdam Public Library (OBA De Hallen)
De Hallen branch of the Amsterdam Public Library is housed in a former tram depot that gives it its name. The collection caters to both adults and children alike. De Hallen branch offers a BoekStart (beginner reader's) corner for the youngest readers and hosts storytime sessions every Wednesday afternoon for children from 4 years of age. But within the tram depot building, visitors will find so much more than a library. De Hallen complex also houses a hotel, TV studio, cinema, food hall and an art loan gallery.
The library’s entrance is located on Tollensstraat (the best location to enter into a navigation device). De Hallen branch also has its own coffee shop, café Belcampo, where library visitors can read while enjoying a delicious coffee or treat.
