Discover the hidden treasuresYou will be given an expert guided tour of the grand period rooms and taken downstairs to see the underground bank vault and the magnificent Art Deco treasury. This is where the most beautiful and most moving items from the collections of Amsterdam City Archives are displayed, including the ‘family index card’ of the family of Anne Frank, a special festive catalogue of the fashion house Metz & Co., and photographs of Willeke Alberti and Theo van Gogh.
Don’t miss the historical films about Amsterdam, made in the 20th century (and subtitled in English). A cup of coffee with a piece of cake at Café de Bazel will bring your visit to a relaxing conclusion.
