Het Weeshuis
The Orphanage is a beautiful 16th-century building in the centre of Monnickendam. In the 18th and 19th centuries, it was an orphanage, but it has now been converted into a charming tearoom that serves all sorts of warm drinks and hot snacks. There are also glass and wood workshops onsite where you can shop for beautiful handcrafted items.

Inside Het Weeshuis, or when the weather is nice in its beautiful tea garden on the water, the team is happy to serve you a delicious cup of tea or coffee with homemade apple pie.
