Museum Tot Zover is unique in its kind and sheds light on death in all its facets. The museum opened in 2007 and presents groundbreaking exhibitions such as Funeral Train, Afterlife, The Pixelated Revolution, De Vogelvanger and Post Mortem.

Volkshotel

Volkshotel Werkplaats Cafe

First it was home to a broadsheet newspaper – De Volkskrant –, then to myriads of artists, creatives and artistic-creative start-ups in its function as a ‘creative incubator.’ Now, the building on Amsterdam’s Wibautstraat has entered its next incarnation: as a hotel. Its creative spirit, however, has not been stifled.

Dappermarkt

Over the years, this neighbourhood market between Mauritskade and Wijttenbachstraat has grown into a fully-fledged six-day market with a worldwide range. This market is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00.

Located beside the iconic De Gooyer windmill, Brouwerij ’t IJ is a unique craft brewery that epitomises the charm of Amsterdam. Renowned for its award-winning beers, Brouwerij 't IJ has been an important part of the city's brewing history since 1985.

NedPhO-Koepel

The NedPhO-Koepel is located in the Indische Buurt, a musical hotspot just a few minutes walk from Amsterdam Muiderpoort station. The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra/Netherlands Chamber Orchestra rehearses here for concerts in the Concertgebouw and De Nationale Opera. Be welcome at free public rehearsals and surprising (children's) concerts.

Park Frankendael

Frankendael is Amsterdam’s only remaining 17th-century country estate. The romantic park has two historic gardens - a period garden and a landscape garden – as well as a sunbathing area and marsh. In the middle of the park is the imposing Huize Frankendael ('Frankendael House') where cultural events are regularly organized. Also in the park are the unique restaurants Merkelbach (in the former coach house) and De Kas (in a propagation house from 1926).

Oosterpark

The Oosterpark is a large city park located in Amsterdam Oost. This open green space is filled with ponds and streams, a wading pool for children and plenty of walking paths. Considered Amsterdam’s most multicultural park, it draws a diverse local crowd and hosts a variety of festivals throughout the summer. There is also a 'speaker’s stone', where people speak their minds every Sunday at 13:00.

Flevopark

The Flevopark is located on the edge of the east side of Amsterdam. Large playing fields and the construction of a harbor for rowing boats were intended to meet the needs of the growing youth of the Indische Buurt.

Studio/K

Studio/K is a multidisciplinary, multi-purpose venue that functions as an arthouse cinema, a gig venue, a music club, a gallery and a bar/restaurant. Programmed and operated by 50 enthusiastic students, the venue is always forward-looking, incorporating a hospitable experience that continuously feels fresh.
