Rialto has always championed non-Western cinema. For beautiful and impressive films, you really don't have to look only in Europe and America, because beautiful films are made all over the world. Besides introducing the many so-called world cinema, Rialto De Pijp focuses on screening exceptional, often award-winning, independent European films. Rialto De Pijp also offers many special programmes and special film evenings with classics, documentaries and after-parties with directors. Films are screened daily from 14:00 in the three modern screening rooms and the Rialto Cafe is the perfect place to grab a pre-film drink or to analyse the film afterwards. All films are subtitled in Dutch unless otherwise stated and alternative opening hours apply in the summer.
