Virtual walk through a scorched world

Nowadays, almost no one really goes outside anymore: not out of their homes, not out of their entrenched habits or imposed roles, and also not out of their irrational fears or self-sabotaging anger. Life has long ceased to be a walk in the park, if it ever was. The world has become too hot to just stroll around.

Yet, Keren invites you once again for a virtual walk through a scorched, damaged world. She promises you nothing, but cherishes an unexpected hope: if we keep walking together, at the same pace, we might just make it home again—with renewed energy.

Hot Walk explores the double side of change: the effort it takes and the healing effect it can have. Against the backdrop of projected images of an idyllic park landscape, you see 2 women in conversation, walking on treadmills. This creates the illusion that they are walking through the park together. By connecting the personal with the global, Hot Walk draws a link between our inner climate and the climate around us. A clear, understated exploration of what change means.

After-talk about art and activism

After the performance on Thursday, October 15, Lidija Zelovic and Keren Levi will discuss art and activism. These makers, coming from different disciplines, ask themselves where art ends and activism begins, and what happens in the space in between. Lidija works as a documentary filmmaker and producer. Before she founded Zelovic Film 20 years ago, she worked for many years as an executive producer and researcher for the BBC and Channel 4. Her most recent film, Home Game (2024), has won several national and international awards.
