Future Voices: Fluid Figures & Isle of Eros

A double bill about identity in motion

Fluid Figures is a physical and layered performance in which dance, sound and performance merge into a hybrid whole. From a queer, bicultural perspective, Lucinda Wessels embarks on an inner search for identity. The dancers embody different roles and perspectives and create a dynamic in which contrast and connection are simultaneously palpable. Fluid Figures challenges the audience to let go of fixed boundaries and to experience contradictions as part of a single whole.

Isle of Eros is an erotic concert about ‘the desire for unity’, where the desire to merge with the other clashes with the desire to be a strongly defined individual. After several performances in which the singing community is central (Mementum, Missa Homo Sacer, Mystica, NOW WE ARE EARTH), Timo Tembuyser now presents himself as a soloist. A quirky 'Master of Ceremonies' takes us into a post-porn pop concert. An ode to the wild man, to queerness, to sexuality and to love.
