Rush Hour is one of Amsterdam's most influential record stores and record labels. Founded in 1997 by Antal and Christiaan Macdonald, it grew into a meeting place for everyone who loves disco, house, soul, and related genres. During Amsterdam Dance Event, Rush Hour is organizing a day session at Lofi, one of the city's most distinctive club venues.
Disco and house as a common thread
The musical programming revolves around timeless selections: from classic disco grooves to deep house records. Rush Hour is known for an approach that is not driven by hype, but by a genuine love for music. That feeling is central to this session, both on and off the dance floor.
Lofi: a former bus garage as a club location
The session takes place at Lofi, located at Basisweg 63 in Amsterdam. This multidisciplinary venue was established in 2019 in a former GVB bus garage in the Sloterdijk district. The space combines the atmosphere of a club with that of a warehouse and accommodates dance, art, and music.
