4AM KRU

Jungle and rave brought back to life

4am Kru is a London duo that breathes new life into the energy and atmosphere of the rave and jungle scene from the early 90s. Howie and Stu met in the London live circuit and discovered that jungle was where their musical tastes converged. From a shared love for the old-school sound, they built their own style, rooted in hardcore, jungle, and early 90s rave.

A live show that feels like a real rave

What sets 4am Kru apart is their approach to live performance. They build jungle tracks that they deconstruct and rebuild during their show. The result feels like an authentic rave experience: raw, physical, and full of energy. They have already performed at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Reading & Leeds, and supported Chase & Status.

More than nostalgia

4am Kru's music draws from surprising sources: from R&B and 80s film music to Scottish folk and classical music. In doing so, they give the jungle framework a distinctive character. It is not a simple look back, but a contemporary reinterpretation of a timeless sound. If you want to relive the rave scene of the 90s or discover it for the first time, the Melkweg is the place during Amsterdam Dance Event.
