Food truck festival in Amsterdam
During the (long) holiday weekend around Ascension Day each spring, dozens of mobile kitchens and food trucks descend upon this culinary festival at the Westergasfabriek in the west of Amsterdam, to create an enormous open air restaurant!
At Rolling Kitchens there is food to suit every appetite on the menu, with everything from fresh Italian pizza to sophisticated seafood and Dutch delicacies.
Sample a little of everything from the festival-sized smorgasbord or decide on your one favourite dish, pick up your order and dine under the sun, or stars – the event runs late into the evening.
Cheap and cheerful
There's no entrance charge for Rolling Kitchens and the food is designed to tickle the most discerning of taste buds while remaining cheap and cheerful. Good things remain the same: free admission, our colorful bars still don’t run on plastic.
Rolling Kitchen is a PIN ONLY event and your first purchased glass is yours to keep. Rolling Kitchens is open from 13:00 to 23:00. The Westergas is about 30 minutes' walk from Amsterdam Central Station or tram number 5 stops nearby.
Plus, you’ll find stages where bands perform to exuberant crowds looking to dance off some of the delicacies they’ve divulged in throughout the day. You can also dine under the sun or the stars – as the event runs late into the evening.
