An exhibition about the feeling of home in contemporary art

What does ‘home’ mean? For some, it is an interior that suits you, for others a memory of the past. Or it is simply a safe place that is all yours. In the exhibition THUIS. The feeling of home in contemporary art, thirteen contemporary artists reflect on the sense of home – from symbols of home to the loss of a house.

On view from 26 September 2025 to 4 January 2026 at Rembrandt’s home. With artworks by Sadik Kwaish Alfraji, Arash Fakhim, Foundland Collective, Arjan van Helmond, Gvantsa Jgushia, Polina Medvedeva, Neda Mirhosseini, Olphaert den Otter, Satijn Panyigay, Pris Roos, Maria Roosen, Tian Teng, Pink de Thierry and Rembrandt.
