Izakaya
Entrepreneur Yossi Eliyahoo (MoMo) opened the new Japanese restaurant Izakaya, which means 'pub' in Japanese, in 2012. You will find Izakaya at the bottom of the chic Sir Albert boutique hotel in the heart of Pijp. The traditional Japanese Robata grill and the large open kitchen form the centerpiece of the restaurant. Chef Hariprasad Shetty (known from restaurant Nobu in London) is responsible for the menu.
The best Japanese delicacies
In Izakaya you can enjoy the best Japanese delicacies seven days a week. The menu consists of small dishes such as sashimi, sushi and tempura. The wine list contains more than 300 wines and the cocktail list is also very extensive. For the interior, Yossi Eliyahoo hired interior designers BK Architects, who were inspired by the five traditional Japanese elements: earth, water, fire, wind and sky.
