Fons de Visscher had been a respected fishmonger in Helmond in Brabant for 27 years when he decided it was time for a fish restaurant. Driven by his passion for fish, Fons created The Seafood Bar. The first Seafood Bar opened its doors in 2012.
The fish that The Seafood Bar uses is sustainable and line-caught where possible. Together with their suppliers, The Seafood Bar carefully selects the available fish and ensures that fish stocks remain in order. For example by working with innovative and sustainable fisheries. The menu maintains a strong focus on shells known for their minimal impact on the planet.
