Vive la Fête was founded in 1997 in Gent by Els Pynoo and Danny Mommens. Their mix of electronic music, new wave, guitars and French vocals quickly found an audience far beyond Belgium. With albums like République Populaire and Nuit Blanche, the band made an international breakthrough. Songs like “Je Ne Veux Pas”, “Touche Pas”, “Maquillage” and “Noir Désir” have been firm live favourites for years. Over the years, Vive la Fête toured extensively through Europe and played in Russia, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and other parts of Latin America. The band also became closely linked to the fashion world after Karl Lagerfeld noticed them. This resulted in performances at Chanel events and international fashion shows. On stage, Els and Danny play with a full live band. Electronics and synthesizers go together with drums, bass and guitar. In 2027, Vive la Fête will once again put Nuit Blanche at the centre of their live show. The album was released in 2003 and played a major role in the band's international breakthrough. Tour Blanche 2027 brings back Nuit Blanche, along with favourites from nearly thirty years of Vive la Fête.
