Saxophonist Rodrigo Amado pays tribute to great musical examples from the past and present with his band The Bridge. The group bridges diverse generations, different backgrounds, and styles, just as the name suggests. This is also a nod to Sonny Rollins' legendary 1962 album , The Bridge. The raw beauty of tenor heroes like Rollins can be heard reflected in Amado's playing.

Meet legendary musicians
Alexander Von Schlippenbach has been collaborating with the uncompromising saxophonist Evan Parker for years. Ingebrigt Håker Flaten made a name for himself as a bassist in the groundbreaking Scandinavian group The Thing. Drummer Gerry Hemingway has been performing on various stages since the 1980s with artists such as Anthony Braxton, Ray Anderson, and Ernst Reijseger. Are you interested in unique jazz?
