The fresh versatility of Laura Misch

London-based singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Laura Misch grew up in an artistic family that encouraged creativity in all its forms. At a young age, Laura contributed to Follow , her brother Tom's breakthrough track. In the vibrant South London scene, she found her own direction: a hybrid of warm saxophone layers, minimalist electronics, subtle beats, and intimate, melancholic vocals. After two 'living room cassettes,' her debut album Sample the Sky was released in 2023, in which she takes her vision to a new level. The record unfolds as a series of kaleidoscopic dreamscapes: compositions that breathe, shimmer, and shift, serving as an ode to nature and a gently rebellious manifesto against its destruction. Her new album Lithic will be released in June 2026.

Lithic: new album, new sounds

Laura Misch's new album Lithic is inspired by stone, water, lightning, and wind. It takes the listener into the dark depths of the psyche, to the beginning of a new era in sound. The album was recorded in various quarries, cliffs, and caves in Cornwall, a treehouse in Kudhva, between Tinos in the Cyclades and Old Carpet Factory Studios in Hydra, Unwound Studios in Deptford, and in the pebble desert of Dungness. And finally, it was mixed and edited by tape recorders at Brewery Studios in Berlin. Lithic is born like a cave from emotions and elemental forces.
