Rita Antonopoulou & Revans

Tribute to Thanos MikroutsikosThe music of Thanos Mikroutsikos is timeless. His work has spoken to generations with the same power and emotion and leaves a lasting impression—so strong that it almost seems magical. Over the past two years, this production has travelled to many stages and taken the audience on a magical journey through the musical world of Thanos Mikroutsikos. Thanks to the sincere dedication and the special musical chemistry between Rita Antonopoulou and Revans, this performance grew into an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended it. There is no better way to conclude this successful tour than with a performance on one of the most historic and iconic stages in Europe. Rita Antonopoulou, who worked closely with him from 2006 until his passing, now brings a full tribute to this unforgettable composer—for the first time without him on stage. As she says herself, there are two reasons for this: she feels ready for it now and because of her special musical collaboration with the excellent band Revans. Revans has cherished a deep love for the oeuvre of Mikroutsikos for years and gives his iconic songs their own, recognisable musical colour. Together with Rita Antonopoulou, a powerful and immersive performance is created that aims to give the audience the feeling once again that Thanos Mikroutsikos is still close by.
