Surprising interpretations of jazz standards
In this programme, both beloved and lesser-known jazz standards are given a dramatic and surprising interpretation. Narrative elements, acting and costumes come together with the virtuoso playing of Pietro Aloi (piano) and Tomek van Leeuwen (double bass), and the powerful, velvety voice of Ola Rud.
With a special combination of music and theatre, JazzDrama takes the audience into a world full of passion, humour and intrigue. Well-known jazz, blues and pop classics are thus given a new meaning and are illuminated from an unexpected perspective.
