Meredith Monk

Meredith Monk is a composer, singer, director-choreographer, filmmaker, and essentially a genre unto herself. For over sixty years, she has been building an oeuvre in which music, movement, light, and space converge, and with which she has permanently changed the music and performing arts. Monk, who has dedicated her life to exploring the possibilities of the human voice, appeared at the Holland Festival in 2023 with the world premiere of her production *Indra's Net* , presented with the Hartwig Art Foundation. John Hollenbeck is a percussionist with an inexhaustible creative musical spirit: his ideas seem to multiply as soon as you hear them. As a composer, he weaves together jazz and contemporary music into a unique, always surprising style.
