Melody Gardot

Melody Gardot manages to bring together a rich mix of genres in a distinctive musical style of her own. Her own musical signature, you could say. A signature created by bringing together, among others, a whole range of voices from the rich female vocal tradition. Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Edith Piaf, Blossom Dearie, Chris Connor, Shirley Horn, Astrud Gilberto... they all contributed to Melody Gardot's unique style, in which jazz, blues, folk, bossa nova, and soul come together.

Musical identity

Melody Gardot broke through in 2009 with her album My One and Only Thrill , for which she won three Grammys, among other accolades. This success immediately made her one of the great artists of our time. Her love for music from all over the world led her to move to Lisbon in 2012, and five years later to France. All these places, and all the music Melody Gardot absorbs, ensure that her musical identity is constantly evolving. A musical identity that, moreover, rests on a musical talent that is also constantly in motion.
