Madison Cunningham

Cunningham is one of the most distinctive songwriters of her generation. Following the Grammy-winning Revealer , her third album, Ace , was released in 2025, which she co-produced herself. Her music moves effortlessly between genres, combining sophistication with an adventurous approach to songwriting. Madison Cunningham began playing guitar at the age of seven and performed at church with her five siblings from a young age. With albums such as Who Are You Now , Revealer , and Ace , she grew into one of the most acclaimed voices in contemporary folk and Americana. Additionally, she has collaborated with artists including Lucy Dacus, Remi Wolf, Mumford & Sons, and Andrew Bird. Her inventive songwriting and exceptional guitar playing earned her international recognition and a Grammy Award.

Metropole Orchestra

With the Metropole Orchestra and conductor Sam Gale, she presents her songs tonight from a new perspective. The orchestra is a regular guest at the Concertgebouw. They play jazz, pop, soul, film music, and much more. They have shared the stage with greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Brian Eno, and Bono. They have performed at Pinkpop and Lowlands, and with contemporary talents like Gregory Porter and Jacob Collier. Tonight, the Metropole Orchestra adds new colors, contrasts, and dynamics to Cunningham’s intimate songs. This creates a concert in which the subtlety and versatility of Cunningham’s music come fully into their own.

Sam Gale is an arranger, conductor, and producer who connects the music of artists with orchestras. He has created arrangements for artists such as Teddy Swims, Olivia Dean, St Vincent, Snarky Puppy, and Brandi Carlile, as well as for the Metropole Orchestra in the Netherlands and the Symphony and Concert Orchestras of the BBC.
