Berlin-based Kadavar keeps the musical spirit of the 70s – think Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Hawkwind – alive and kicking. The band, which has since grown into a quartet, has built a strong reputation over the past few years. Since their debut in 2012, several albums followed, as well as a memorable performance at Roadburn and tours with the likes of Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Electric Wizard and Blues Pills. 2025 was perhaps the most productive year of Kadavar's career. Following studio album 'K.A.D.A.V.A.R', the record 'I Just Want To Be A Sound' followed in quick succession. On it, the band once again combines heavy riffs with the psychedelic atmosphere of their earlier work. The result is a record that sounds angrier, harder and more aggressive than we are used to from Kadavar. This autumn, the band will bring this new music to Melkweg, with support from Scott Hepple & The Sun Band.
