Elisa Maayeshi
The Dutch-Iranian soprano Elisa Maayeshi has loved being on stage since a young age. Singing, dancing, and acting go hand in hand for her. It is no wonder that she is in her element when it comes to opera. Maayeshi is part of the opera studio at the Komische Oper in Berlin. She also sings in oratorios and loves the song repertoire. She previously performed in the Kleine Zaal with fellow students from the Dutch National Opera Academy in Brahms' Liebeslieder-Walzer . In the Young Dutch series, Maayeshi chooses Poulenc's La voix humaine , which she considers the pinnacle of music theatre. She combines this moving monologue with the poetry of Lili Boulanger's Clairières dans le ciel .

From Baroque masterpieces and Romantic expression to contemporary sounds: all stylistic periods are represented. In carefully curated, varied programs, the Young Dutch Musicians demonstrate their versatility, curiosity, and artistic boldness, showing just how alive and relevant classical music is today.
