Jazz, world music and Afro-Surinamese traditions
Violist Yannick Hiwat and flutist/composer Ronald Snijders present a concert where different musical worlds converge. Jazz, world music, classical influences, and Afro-Surinamese traditions together form the basis of their program. The two musicians explore the boundaries between styles and cultures, with ample room for improvisation and rhythm.

Yannick Hiwat plays a six-string violin and is known for his versatility as a soloist and improviser. He has collaborated with artists such as Snarky Puppy, Akua Naru, and Karsu, and has performed both at home and abroad. In doing so, he has grown into one of the most prominent voices in the Dutch jazz and world music scene.
Ronald Snijders: pioneer in connection
