Solo recital in a hidden canal garden
This year, the Grachtenfestival takes place in and around the canal gardens of Amsterdam. These gardens lie hidden behind the facades of stately canal houses and form the green heart of the city. A 17th-century law still protects them. Especially for the festival, a number of these normally closed gardens are accessible via a concert.
Keshav Krishnan: young talent with international experience
Pianist Keshav Krishnan is 12 years old and performs a solo recital featuring works from the classical and romantic piano repertoire. He presents both technically virtuosic and more restrained pieces. At a young age, he already performed as a soloist in piano concertos and played recitals in Perugia and Leipzig, among other places.
Prizes and performances
Keshav studies at the conservatory. In 2026, he won first prize at the Steinway International Piano Competition. Previously, he also won the Princess Christina Competition South and competitions abroad. He has performed with the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and the Narva Symphony Orchestra. You could hear him on NPO Klassiek and see him in the television program Podium Klassiek .
