European premiere at the Pianola Museum

During this piano recital, Pianist Nada will perform the European premiere of Variations on a Theme of Jean Langlais by composer Naji Hakim. Hakim wrote this work especially for her. In addition, she will play works by Mozart, Liszt and Brahms: from the Sonata in D major K 576 to the impressive Fantasy and Fugue on B-A-C-H and Sonata No. 1 op. 1 in C Major.

Pianist Nada: a special musical personality

Pianist Nada, the stage name of Nada Loutfi, grew up in Beirut and studied piano in the midst of the Lebanese Civil War. She later studied at the Paris Conservatory, where she was the first woman from the Middle East to receive the Premier Prix. Critics compare her playing to that of legendary pianists such as Clara Haskil and Gina Bachauer.
