Dea Matrona

From performing on the streets of Belfast to touring with Sting, The Darkness and The Beaches: it sounds like a dream, and that is exactly the success story of rock duo Dea Matrona. The band, consisting of Mollie McGinn and Orláith Forsythe, has recently been working on its second album ‘Hate That I Care’, which was released this year. On this record, Dea Matrona sounds darker than on their debut ‘For Your Sins’. Their alternative rock is reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac heading into the studio with The Cranberries in 2026. With their rock-inspired sound, the album is both their most personal and most political work to date, with tracks like ‘Americana’. In the spring of 2027, Dea Matrona will come to Amsterdam following their sold-out show at Rotown.
