The vocal ensemble Wishful Singing gained widespread recognition through collaborations with Herman Finkers and the singing program Zing je sterk . The five singers are known for their crystal-clear vocals, sparkling stage presence, and their ability to make music accessible to a broad audience. Their repertoire ranges from classical to folk music and new works, and it always revolves around one thing: connection through the power of the voice. In the program Nix Immortalis, Wishful Singing collaborates with the VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble: young, internationally selected talent being shaped within the tradition of the British ensemble VOCES8.

Nix Immortalis

Wishful Singing and the VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble present Nix Immortalis ('Immortal Snow'), a winter program centered on Gregorian chant and early polyphony. Drifting snowflakes at dusk, a frozen lake by moonlight, the first flowers emerging from the melting snow at sunrise: Nix Immortalis is a longing for wintry clarity, and the musical equivalent of a candlelit vigil. The musicians present a serene winter concert in which time, space, and sound converge, leaving you feeling calm and with renewed focus.
