Alt-rocker Blondshell turns trauma into great music! With confrontational lyrics and a love for 90s grunge, the American sings about loaded themes, providing food for thought. Ever since the release of her self-titled debut album in 2023, Blondshell has been highly acclaimed internationally, with mentions by Billboard, Rolling Stone and NME. It brought her an impressive number of live shows, late-night TV shows, major festival stages (Coachella, Glastonbury, SXSW), and sold-out headline tours. Trauma as a creative force As an outspoken songwriter, Blondshell dives into her experiences with misogyny, OCD, her personal path to sobriety, and dating in the modern era. References inspired by her own young but eventful life. Creatively, Teitelbaum found an equal in Yves Rothman (a.o. Yves Tumor, Warpaint, Cherry Glazerr), who handled both albums. Blondshell's latest album "If You Asked For A Picture" gratefully refers to the building blocks of Queens of the Stone Age to Smashing Pumpkins with praise from New York Times which labeled her as “an alt-rock-supernova”. On December 6, the singer returns to Amsterdam for a show on our stage.
