Akopian Trio

The Akopian Trio, formed by Adam (17 years old, piano), Christian (16 years old, cello), and Emanuel (11 years old, violin), performs with a natural unity that can only grow from a deep-rooted connection. Their music breathes a shared sensitivity and sounds like a conversation that begins even before the first note is played. Although each develops individually, they find each other again and again in the trio, where individual voices merge into a single musical language. It is precisely in this balance between individuality and unity that tension, direction, and character emerge, and their interplay acquires a convincing intensity.

Musical dialogue

Under the guidance of renowned teacher Mila Baslawskaya, the brothers work with great intensity on their ensemble playing, in which expression, precision, and mutual tension are shaped in meticulous detail. The brothers study at leading institutions, including the Amsterdam Conservatory, the Davidsbündler Academy, and the Academy for Musical Talent, where they further deepen their artistic development. All three perform frequently in concert halls and at festivals, and are among the prize winners of national and international competitions, including the Royal Concertgebouw Competition, the Netherlands Violin Competition, the Kronberg International Piano Competition, the Princess Christina Competition, and the Britten Competitions for cello and violin. Additionally, they have performed as soloists with the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra and other professional ensembles, among others. Emanuel produces an expressive, layered sound full of color and nuance. Christian provides warmth and depth with a narrative, sustained tone. Adam ensures clarity, structure, and a subtle, connecting line. Together, they create a sound world that is simultaneously transparent and full of nuance. In this way, an open musical dialogue emerges that touches the audience and leaves a lasting impression.
