The Last Waltz by The Band

On November 25, 1976, The Band bid farewell at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The concert was immortalized in Martin Scorsese's famous film and grew into a cultural landmark. With their distinctive blend of rock, folk, country, and blues, The Band left their unmistakable mark on music history and laid the foundation for what we call Americana today. The Dawn Brothers have their sound deeply rooted in the folk-rock and Americana tradition. With their harmonies and raw, energetic live approach, they are undoubtedly the perfect band to pay tribute to The Band and The Last Waltz . It is for good reason that they have been performing on leading stages for years, from North Sea Jazz to Americanafest in Nashville.

Guest appearances

Just like The Band in 1976, the Dawn Brothers are joined tonight by a selection of special guest artists. Together, they form a cross-section of the gems of the contemporary Dutch roots and Americana scene, complemented by leading international musicians based in the Netherlands. On the stage of the Main Hall are, among others, soul powerhouse Michelle David, singer-songwriter Tim Knol, the charismatic voice of Cato van Dijck (My Baby), wordsmith and performer Nico Dijkshoorn, yé-yé pop icon Fleur Elman, blues virtuoso Ian Siegal, drummer and singer Darryl Ciggaar, guitarist and vocalist Dusty Ciggaar, and Pablo van de Poel and Luka van de Poel of DeWolff—the band the Dawn Brothers proudly count among their musical 'besties'.
