Tour of Lapdogs of the Bourgeoisie 2026
The exhibition harks back to an art project from 2006. Now, 20 years later, exhibition makers Eszter Szakács and Tirdad Zolghadr revisit the influence of social class on the art world. Who gets the chance to become an artist or exhibition maker? And why is the influence of social class still often overlooked?During the tour, Eszter Szakács takes you through the exhibition. You view material from the archive and discover more about the questions that started the original project. The reasons why these topics are still important today are also discussed.
The exhibition features work and contributions by Özgür Atlagan, Annika Eriksson, Chris Evans, Natascha Sadr Haghigian, San Keller, Hassan Khan, and Marion von Osten, among others.
