Learn all about water, fire, and steam

In the boiler house of De Cruquius, filled with steam engines and technical gadgets, you can take a seat at the Steam Lab. There you can play with water, fire, and steam, and power various small machines with model steam engines.

There are four 30-minute practical sessions per afternoon. Each time slot accommodates eight children aged 7 to 12 and their adult supervisors. The engineer explains how the steam models work. The children sit on benches at the work table and can get to work themselves with the help of their parent or guardian.
