Micro-vacation on Pampus
Camping on Pampus: your micro-vacation on an island close to Amsterdam. Listen to the birds, the wind, and the rippling water. As soon as the last boat has left, a silence falls that you will hardly find anywhere near Amsterdam anymore.
A night in the middle of the IJmeer
As soon as the last visitors have left, you experience Pampus at its most beautiful. With a maximum of ten tents on the entire island, you enjoy peace, space, and a clear starry sky. Stroll across the island, climb to the fort roof for a spectacular sunset, and wake up with the first rays of sun shining through your tent canvas.
Spend the night on a self-sufficient island
Pampus has been nominated for the title of Greenest Museum of the Netherlands 2026. During your stay, you will discover why. The island generates its own energy, manages water efficiently, and uses ingredients from its own vegetable and herb gardens. Without even realizing it, you will experience how comfortable a fossil-free island can be.
Cozy atmosphere around the fire & swimming at sunrise
Enjoy a delicious dinner and a crackling campfire in the evening. Take an evening swim in the calm waters around the island or start the day with a refreshing morning swim while the rest of the Netherlands is still asleep.
Including dinner and breakfast
You don't have to think about a thing. Your stay includes a furnished tent, a delicious dinner, and a fresh island breakfast, prepared with seasonal produce and, where possible, ingredients from the island.
Available from July 15 to August 22
Camping on Pampus is only possible in the summer, and there is room for a maximum of ten tents per night. Book in advance and experience Pampus like few others can.
Fog bell
Not much of a camper? Then you can also stay overnight at the historic Mistklokhuis, the bed & breakfast on Pampus. This way, you experience the same magical evening and morning on the island, but with just a little more comfort.
