There are walking, cycling and boat tours, guided by architecture historian Alex Hendriksen, who gives fascinating and informed explanations about Amsterdam's architectural hotspots. While travelling past old and new buildings, Hendriksen talks about the history of the old port and the many changes that have transformed the neighbourhood to a modern residential area.

The traditional boat is comfortable in all weather and has a bar offering hot and cold drinks and snacks; it is also an excellent place to meet and catch up with friends. The IJ-river architecture boat is for groups of 20 people and over (smaller groups are encouraged to contact the company). Individuals and groups alike can reserve the walking and bike tours.
