All sorts of vessels are permitted on the lakes, with wind and muscle-powered crafts sharing the water with motorised boats. Head to one of the numerous hire companies in the area for a canoe, rowing boat or yacht, or pick up a larger, motorised boat – a captain sometimes comes as standard! The lakes are dotted with islands and their picturesque beaches are the ideal spot for picnics. Alternatively, moor your boat at one of the waterside restaurants and sit down to a drink and bite to eat on a sun-drenched terrace.
