Imagine Film Festival: Shorts 3 – Unexpected Discoveries

Seven short films about adventure and unexpected discoveries

The Imagine Film Festival bundles seven international short films in the programme Shorts 3 – Unexpected Discoveries. The films explore adventure in all its forms: dangerous, healing, exhausting or cathartic. The outcome is always a discovery, about yourself or about the world. Or about multiple worlds, which reveal themselves from unknown cosmic dimensions.

Science fiction and horror from five countries

The selection includes work from Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Estonia and Norway. You will see, among others, Klonter (Belgium), a dryly comic film about an existential crisis after a near-death experience, and Altera Partem (France), a cosmic horror film in the hold of a ship. The Estonian film Breadsong tells of a poor family that discovers a mysterious song from the future.

Stop-motion, fever dream and secret rooms

The programme also includes the stop-motion film Foreign Bodies (UK) about the horror of the body, and Eye Jam (UK), an atmospheric fever dream about a lonely creature in search of connection. The Norwegian film Mancave follows Charlotte, who discovers a secret room in the garage and thus becomes entangled in dark secrets.
