NISIS is an unparalleled research school in the Dutch academic landscape, that unites nine different universities and offers high quality interdisciplinary workshops, seminars, conferences, and seasonal schools. The Utrecht University is hosting NISIS until the end of 2026.
We want to celebrate our portfolio filled with inspiring events by inviting our community and the broader public to an evening where students in the field of Islamic studies can meet senior scholars and watch the documentary ‘Harar, the forgotten Islamic city’.
This documentary offers insight into the inhabitants of Harar, as their days seem numbered. The trailer of the documentary can be watched here. This event is public and free of charge. We do ask you to register beforehand.
