De Sloot - Theaterbroedplaats
In May 2022, theatre collective BOG. and De Warme Winkel opened Amsterdam's first creative hub and community behind Amsterdam Sloterdijk station: De Sloot. A workshop for theatre makers, a full-fledged flat-floor theatre hall and a smaller auditorium, several large rehearsal rooms and work studios and a large café/restaurant.
The place where art comes first
With two theater halls, rehearsal rooms, work studios, café/folk kitchen De Sering, culinary pop-up restaurant TestTafel, coffee bar SubCult and dance & exercise space Dance Space Destiny, De Sloot is the ideal place to celebrate or try something out or simply visit if you want a bite to eat.
In this creative working environment you not only stumble over the established order, but there is also room for young theater makers. The atmosphere is post-industrial and a bit shaky. There is a café with affordable lunch (€6 on Tuesday-Friday), the very best coffee in Amsterdam and we offer fiber optic internet. Tickets & admission or a bite to eat
De Sloot offers accommodation to various companies and organizations. If you have any (ticket sales) questions or changes, always contact the performing company or the organizing party. If you want something to eat, that is possible because De Sering folk kitchen sells food and drinks on the premises. Opening hours vary, click here for more information.
