Three stories, one car accident in Mexico City

Amores Perros is the debut of director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who later gained fame with Birdman and The Revenant. The film tells three separate stories that come together through a violent collision in Mexico City. Each storyline follows a different character: a young man who wants to get ahead, a woman who is hit hard, and a wandering outsider who carries his past with him.

The characters have little in common, but are all affected by love that goes wrong. Adultery, deception and missed opportunities colour their lives.
