Slacker: the label as a live experience
Slacker is the record label, lifestyle brand, and event of Seth Troxler. He describes it himself as his 'legacy act': a creative platform without filters for idiosyncratic, esoteric, and diverse underground sounds. During Slacker 85, that philosophy translates into a full evening program at Bret, Amsterdam, featuring artists who fit that unorthodox course.
A line-up with depth
Marc Houle and Gaiser, both from the influential Canadian label M_nus, each play a live set. These sets offer the audience a different experience than a standard DJ performance: the music is created on the spot. Rio Tashan and Sindicato Del Baile complement each other in a b2b set, while Seth Troxler himself takes the turntables alongside Tiga — for only the second time in their careers.
Tom Trago as an Amsterdam note
Tom Trago, a familiar face in the Amsterdam club scene, closes the line-up. His presence gives the program a local connection. Slacker 85 is part of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the annual festival that transforms the city into a center of electronic music. Are you interested? Use the link for tickets.
