Interactive installation of light and movement
At ICK Amsterdam, Matthias Oostrik presents the premiere of White Space : an installation in which a rotating light sculpture responds to the movements of everyone in the room. Collective movement is transformed into rhythm, sound, and light. This creates a shared experience that constantly changes, depending on who is present and how you move.
Technology that asks questions about identity
Alongside White Space, Oostrik presents his AI installation SMILE . In it, the technology creates a portrait of you — but as a perfect version of yourself. The installation invites you to reflect on the role of technology in beauty, identity, and truth.
Club opera about masculinity and gender
The program is complemented by DONS , a club opera by Robin Coops in collaboration with ICK. Dance, live vocals, and a musical score that blends Mozart with dark electronic music come together in a single experience. The boundary between audience and performer blurs, and you find yourself in the midst of an exploration of masculinity, gender, and identity.
